"He's our running back," Shanahan said. "I expect him to be in great shape and do everything he can to be the best player," the new coach added. "If he does that, I know what type of ability he has. Hopefully, he can help us win." The Skins are apparently convinced that, despite a ton of wear and tear, the 28-year-old Portis can regain form in their zone-blocking scheme.
